Rotary District 5320 has created a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation that clubs may use in lieu of forming their own foundation.
The purpose of the Rotary District 5320 Foundation is:
The Rotary District 5320 Foundation (the “Foundation”) is a 501(c)(3) entity intended to help the Rotary Clubs and Committees of Rotary International District 5320 in their fundraising efforts. A secondary purpose of the Foundation is to help build a disaster relief fund that will enable our district to quickly respond when disasters strike the communities of District 5320.
By using the Foundation to accept donations from donors on behalf of clubs and committees, the Foundation will save individual clubs and committees from much of the expense and compliance burdens associated with establishing and maintaining their own 501(c)(3) entities. Funds received will be disbursed as directed by the respective clubs and committees provided the funds are: (i) used for permissible 501(c)(3) purposes that are consistent with the purposes of Rotary International and District 5320; (ii) the club(s) and committee’s are in good standing with the district and Rotary International; and (iii) the subject club(s)/committee(s) have entered into a written agreement with the Foundation.
The Rotary District 5320 Foundation is not to be confused with The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, which is a separate legal entity.
Rotary Clubs in District 5320 who wish to use the foundation are encourage review and sign the Foundation Use Agreement (below) and return a signed copy to our District Administrator at admin@rotarydistrict5320.org
